Begin with one strong clue
Type a distinctive title word or an actor, then inspect the results. The catalog can use available alternate names and normalizes accents in search. Amelie can match Amélie. A long sentence about where to watch a movie is usually less useful than the name itself.
Use the year to separate versions
The Three Musketeers and Dune both have multiple screen adaptations. Compare cast and release year, not just the largest poster. If you remember a local release year that differs from the recorded premiere, remove the year filter and inspect the likely results.
When there are too many or too few results
Add one useful filter at a time: format, original language, genre, release year, date range or movie length. An empty query can still browse a category. Newest, popularity, rating and title order change the order rather than defining the same kind of ranking.
If nothing matches, reset and try fewer words. A season query still opens a series page, where you can confirm the recorded episodes. A production-country page describes where the work was made; the viewing-country choice is separate when you want to compare access.
